Entryway Makeover Reveal

Entryway Makeover Reveal

Week 6 is finally here and time for my entryway makeover reveal!  A few weeks ago I happily discovered Linda from Calling It Home where she bi-annually runs an amazing One Room Challenge for designers/bloggers to choose one room of their home to redesign in six weeks.  We check in every week and share our progress – go and not so good.  There are 20 designers and 171 designers/bloggers that are all participating in this challenge.

I discovered her amazing challenge during week 3 so I dove in with both feet determined to makeover our Master Bedroom in 3 weeks. The nasty painted popcorn ceiling was a stumbling block so I am deferring that room until the next challenge.

I quickly redirected my energy into the Entryway.  I love a beautiful entryway and mine was simply boring, plain Jane to be exact.  It was dated and it certainly didn’t pop like an entryway is suppose to.  Your entryway is like a trailer for the movie. It should be exciting and interesting.

We (with hubby helping) painted the hallway Behr Nightingale Gray.  We painted two accents walls with Ralph Lauren Metalic Copper Luster.  We (hubby actually) replaced the star trek looking lights with square fabric lights.

The new entry table was a street find where I transformed the wood table to a high gloss black.

It was the first time that I tried metallic paint and I like the glow that it gives.  The pictures do not do it justice.

The boring white door got a redo with the high gloss black paint as well.

I’m actually glad that the master bedroom didn’t work out this time because I LOVE LOVE LOVE the entryway.  I won’t be embarassed anymore when people walk in.

HOWEVER, I will be tackling the master bedroom and that NASTY popcorn ceiling starting April 7th, 2016 for the Spring One Room Challenge.  Check back for the bedroom makeover.

Thank you Linda from Calling It Home for hosting this amazing challenge!  What an amazing way to get so many designers/bloggers from stopping being the shoemakers kids and doing our own space!!!
